Sharing The News With Friends & 4 Weeks Symptoms

So after finding out that we had a little baby on the way, on the Friday we went to my local GP to ask what is our next move. He brought up the whole genetic testing again to us, the "what if" questions and if something was wrong with baby if we would terminate the pregnancy. It was a flat out NO from us, I mean we would never ever get rid of the gift that God has blessed us with! I probably could not live with myself if I did that. We decided we were keeping the baby no matter what the outcome because God has given us this blessing and I believe with faith and prayers that this baby will be a healthy, strong one. We even nicknamed our little ball of cells (4 weeks) Little Viking and it has stuck with us, because it shall be one strong happy baby. On August 8th we could not contain our happy news any more and we just had to tell someone, so we decided to tell our newly made friends Isabel & Lauren (my good friend Lacey was with us that day too), they were all over the moon for us, Isabel even started crying and the love, my goodness the LOVE for our Little Viking was so beautiful!!! Isabel also said she had been praying for us everyday, God is just so good to us and he loves us so much. I told Lauren I was afraid if something happened in the early days and my doubts etc and he even said if something does happen that we have them and their support, which was comforting to hear. It was such a special moment for us and of course we celebrating with yummy Thai food! We just feel so massively blessed in having such loving friends surrounding us, although our photography business is just picking up and design is still grounded things are just falling in to place, I mean we sill do not have our own place yet but I am totally fine because I know God is our provider and the perfect house for us is just in his hands. It is all timing!

On August 9th we did a newborn shoot for a good friend of mine Ashlee, and we had been talking previously about trying for a baby and all of that so I just had to share the news with her. Her little girl Lilijana is beyond adorable and so teeny tiny! (You can see the shoot over on our photography page) I got to have sleepy cuddles with her which was so lovely! Ashlee also told us that they are expecting too!! And that we could possible be at the same 4 week mark (She is a week behind me I think). It was so amazing and now I have a pregnant mummy friend to talk to and go shopping with! Such wonderful timing and it is so God providing for us. It seemed back then every time we picked who to announce to the conversation went immediately to babies and we then knew it was time to share. We decided to hold off telling the parents until we went up to Tamworth before Father's Day and after Ben's brother's wedding has passed. So some symptoms I had at 4 weeks and 2 days (yeah we are counting like crazy), was my breasts were very sore, I got a few minor headaches, achy legs, sore back at night, queasy here and there and just was overall exhausted! I even got exhausted hanging washing on the line and talk about getting out of breath! I could not even sing for too long while playing piano because I just was lacking on oxygen. It was a bit insane, but now I have more energy  back and can do a lot more without getting too exhausted.

The night of August 9th I was going through my devotionals and a verse that stood out to me was Colossians 1:9-12 and I just had to share it with you all because to me it is beautiful and I imagine saying it to our little baby.

"For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all the power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light"
